The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, established in May 1979 under Decree No. 33, is one of seven Polytechnics created by the Federal Military Government. Located in Gwallameji, 5km from Bauchi town along Dass/Tafawa Balewa road, the Polytechnic was selected in 2020 as one of the 12 TETFund Centres of Excellence (TCoEs) across Nigeria, with a focus on enhancing technical skills and entrepreneurial education. The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, was chosen as the North-East zone’s beneficiary under this initiative, which aims to drive innovation and skill development in polytechnics and colleges of education across the country.
To become a leading research hub for Integrated Farming systems by promoting technical skills and entrepreneurship through education, training, applied research.
Our objectives are to build a Center of Excellence in Integrated Farming Systems, fostering training, research, and innovation to advance agricultural productivity, food security, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria and Africa through technology transfer, skill development, and the creation of start-ups.
To gain global recognition through functional training based on knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurship education in smart agriculture.
Becoming a leading resource center of knowledge management pertaining to smart agriculture and biomass enegergy.
Promote Enterpreneurship through education, training, applied research and institution building
Help existing SMEs and family managed businesses improve their entrepreneurial competencies.
Facilitate interface with academia, governments, industry and other stakeholders Tripple (Helix Model).
Assist in capacity building, trainning and institution in the field of agriculture with focus on innovation, incubation and digitalization at national and international levels.
